Here are a few words from Frances about her counseling approach.

During difficult times, it can be helpful to find someone who provides a safe space for connection, support, and healing. I aim to create a place of comfort and compassion, free of judgement and nurturing with acceptance. My main priority is the quality of our relationship, building and deepening our connection while strengthening and empowering you to be your most healthy and authentic self.

I work from a collaborative, strength-based approach; assisting and supporting clients with tools and strategies that focus on increasing happiness and well-being. I consider a client’s strengths, capabilities, and potential very valuable in their journey towards change and achieving their goals. This has been very effective in my work with anxiety, depression, life transitions, personal growth, self-esteem, and relationship issues.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas and a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of San Diego in San Diego, California. I am supervised by Jan C. Shope, M.A., LPC-S
